Why Choose Broadview

We understand that choosing a nursing home or rehabilitation center for yourself or a loved one is a very difficult task. With this in mind, we developed a list of reasons that we believe Broadview Health Center is different and better than the other options in the area.

WHAT MAKES BROADVIEW HEALTH CENTER DIFFERENT AND BETTER?

1. Broadview is family owned and operated. The family business was started in 1948 by Irene Powell-Gallucci. Mrs. Powell-Gallucci was a nurse who dedicated her life to providing quality long-term care and rehabilitation services. Her granddaughter, Kelly Whitehead, is our current administrator.

2. At Broadview, we have longevity among key staff members. Without question, turnover is a big challenge in the health care industry. With this in mind, we are particularly proud of our long-term employees. Their knowledge and experience are truly valuable.

3. We don’t use any agency staffing. We believe this increases the quality of care we provide. All nurses and nursing assistants are Broadview employees. We get to know each and every one of our residents personally, and there is always a familiar face close by.

4. Our last state survey was excellent. As you may know, the Ohio Department of Health conducts comprehensive surveys of all nursing homes on a yearly basis. We are very proud of our most recent survey results. You can view our results and compare them to other facilities by going to the Medicare website at www.medicare.gov

5. We have a dedicated and experienced therapy department specializing in physical, occupational, speech, and restorative therapies. Our team develops an individualized rehabilitation program to specifically meet the needs of each resident. Most importantly, we work diligently with each resident to achieve the maximum level of independence in the shortest amount of time possible.

6. We specialize in skin and wound care. At Broadview, we are proud of our successful focus on skin care. We have numerous preventative measures in place to avoid skin breakdown. However, when residents are admitted to Broadview with skin issues of any kind, our comprehensive wound care team is available. Our team has had tremendous success healing all types of wounds from the simple to the complex. Our team leader is an experienced nurse and an expert in skin and wound care.

7. All doors throughout the facility are secure. This allows us to safely care for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.

8. We have an enclosed courtyard. Our courtyard is beautifully landscaped and provides an ideal place for all residents to safely enjoy the outdoors.

9. Our room rates are very reasonable compared to other facilities in the area. Our intermediate rates are $135 for a semi-private room and $155 for a private room.

10. We have terrific facility pets. Our cats, Kesa and Katie, brighten each day for our residents and staff. We also have a beautiful fish tank and two lovely birds.
