At Broadview all of our residents are treated with dignity and care
until the end of their lives. When the focus of the care becomes palliative
and not curative, Broadview is able to offer our residents and families a
choice of hospice care. Hospice supplies quality end-of-life care and
supportive social, emotional, and spiritual services to the terminally ill,
their families and caregivers. Hospice team members have become an integral
part of Broadview’s everyday care team by participating in care planning
meetings, discussing resident care issues with unit nurses and by the
involvement of the social worker and chaplain in providing excellent
psycho-social and spiritual care to the hospice residents and family
members. The two organizations work together as partners to provide an even
greater continuum of care.
